Laura is currently completing her MDiv degree from Vanderbilt Divinity School. Prior to entering ministry, she worked as a consultant, researcher, and professor of industrial/organizational psychology. She earned a Ph.D. in I/O psychology in 2000 from the University of South Florida. Laura is married to Bryant and they have a daughter Sarah.

A native of Michigan, Eric is a graduate of Albion College (BA) and Vanderbilt Divinity School (MDiv). He has served congregations in Los Angeles, CA and Burlington, VT before coming to Brentwood UMC. You’re likely to run into Eric and his wife Meagan at local coffee shops, Vanderbilt athletic events, or on a bicycle around Nashville.

Travis has a BS & BM from Lambuth University as well as an MTS from Vanderbilt Divinity School. After serving churches in West Tennessee, Travis was Director of Youth Ministry at Calvary UMC in Nashville before coming to Brentwood UMC. He and his wife Amanda have two little boys. He enjoys spending time with family, cycling, reading, music, drinking coffee; and watching the Fighting Illini, the Cubs, & the reigning world champion Green Bay Packers.

After a successful career in the business world where she worked in communications, public information and healthcare recruiting, Kaye entered Vanderbilt Divinity School where she graduated with a MDiv. Her BA degree is from Trevecca Nazarene University. Her interests and hobbies include reading, writing, running, gardening, experiential spiritual formation, and raising funds for breast cancer research. Kaye is married to George and they have a son, and two granddaughters. Their daughter Leslie passed away in 2009 from breast cancer.

With a BA degree from the University of Kentucky and an MDiv from Louisville Presbyterian, Brian served in several Kentucky churches before moving to Nashville to become Executive Director of Harvest Hands Community Development Corporation. His interests include reading, running, eating good food and drinking good coffee, and UK basketball. He and his wife Courtney are expecting their first child.

Deech was educated at Lambuth University (BA) and Memphis Theological Seminary (MA). He served as youth director in several West Tennessee churches before coming to Brentwood United Methodist as youth director. Currently he is director of the Center for Youth Ministry Training, housed on the campus of BUMC. He enjoys college basketball, golf, and training youth ministers. Deech and Keeley, his wife, have two young daughters.

Rachel has a BA from Duke University and an MDiv from Vanderbilt University. She left the business world where she was a human resources executive to enter the ministry. Presently, Rachel is pursuing her Master’s in Professional Counseling at Lipscomb University and intends to obtain her license as a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Therapist. She provides clinical counseling services as an intern at Pastoral Counseling Centers of Tennessee. Her interests include cooking, antiquing, gardening, spending time with family, animal welfare, and Duke basketball. She is married to Bryan and has three adult step-children and three step-grandchildren.

Erin, the daughter of two United Methodist pastors, was educated at North Central College (BA) and Vanderbilt Divinity School (MDiv.) Brentwood UMC is her first appointment. Prior to that she was an intern at several churches as well as a caregiver for her elderly grandfather. She is married to Dave. She enjoys reading, cooking, knitting, gardening, spending time outdoors, watching movies and listening to music with her husband, and traveling.

A graduate of Baylor University (BBA) and Asbury Theological Seminary (MDiv), Mack has served churches in North Carolina, Florida, and Northern Ireland. He enjoys “whatever sports my children are participating in,” college football and baseball, Seinfeld and the movie “Patton.” His wife Sharon and he have four children.

Martin has an undergraduate degree from Ouachita University, a Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary, A Doctor of Ministry degree from Midwestern Seminary, and has done post-graduate work at Vanderbilt University. While pursuing a successful career in insurance, Martin was called to the ministry and served several Southern Baptist churches, as well as working as an editor, author, consultant with the Southern Baptist Convention and seminary professor. After joining the United Methodist Church, Martin served several United Methodist churches, including a ten-year pastorate at First UMC, Lebanon, Tennessee prior to being appointed to Brentwood United Methodist Church.
Martin is married to Paula, and they have two grown children. He enjoys writing for publication (five books so far, two national clergy columns, and a worship and preaching website for pastors), as well as reading, movies, water sports and biking.

Jeff is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys time with family, hiking, travel, sports and cooking. Educated at the University of Tennessee (BA), Vanderbilt Divinity School (MDiv) and Louisiana Baptist University, he continued his studies at Oxford University in England. For 24 years he served churches in the Disciples of Christ. Since 2008 he has served at Brentwood United Methodist Church with dual standing in both denominations. His wife, Malicia, and he have three young adult children.
