Elementary – 1st Grade - 4th Grade
Sunday School
Elementary Sunday school is offered for children in 1st – 4th grade. All classes meet on the third floor ("C" building) and are taught by committed volunteers. Sunday school is offered at 9:45 which coincides with our Adult classes. We are currently using the Spark Curriculum by Augsburg Fortress.

Upcoming Events
During the Sunday school hour on March 17th, 4th graders will attend a special Lent Event in the Chapel. Christen Cole will help lead this event where we discuss the meaning of Lent and some of the things we observe during the Lenten season. Children should check-in and be picked up from their regular Sunday school classrooms.
Visitors
Visitors can check in at the Children’s Welcome Desk located in the Chapel Narthex (“C” building, main level) to be directed to an appropriate classroom.
Volunteer Opportunities
-
Teach a Summer Sunday School Class
Give a regular children's Sunday School teacher a break and teach one Sunday during the summer from May 27-August 5. Everything you need is provided in one box and you only need to arrive 15-20 minutes early. Even those who are usually "intimidated" by the thought of teaching Sunday school will be able to handle this curriculum comfortably. To volunteer with Elementary children (1st-4th grade) contact Beth Lentchner at blentchner@bumc.net, and for Preschool children (age 3-Kindergarten) contact Holly Fisher at hfisher@bumc.net.
