Births

  • Birth Notifications -In the event of a birth to a church member’s family, please contact Julie Donley in our Congregational Care office at 615-373-3663, ext.254 jdonley@bumc.net.  Births are listed in our worship service bulletins.

  • Pastoral Care - To schedule a pastoral care appointment with one of our pastors, please contact the Congregational Care office at 615.373.3663, ext.254.

  • Rosebuds & Cradle Crosses - Births are listed in our worship service bulletins and rosebuds are placed on the baptismal font in honor of newborn children.  Newborn children receive a cradle cross from Children’s Ministry, the rosebud placed on the font in their honor, and a copy of the worship bulletin listing their name.  For more information or for birth notifications, please contact Julie Donley in our Congregational Care office at 615.373.3663, ext.254 or jdonley@bumc.net.

  • Meal Assistance - Our Fish and Loaves team provides temporary (2-4 weeks, 3-4 meals per week) meal assistance to church members, their families, and friends who are unable to prepare healthy meals for their households due to crisis. For assistance, please contact Katie Winstead at Katie_Winstead@yahoo.com

  • Hospitalization Notifications - In the event of the hospitalization of a church member or a church member’s loved one, please contact Julie Donley in our Congregational Care office at 615.373.3663, ext.254 or jdonley@bumc.net

  • Hospital & Rehabilitation Facility Visitation - Our pastors visit hospitals on a weekly rotating basis, with Stephen Ministers conducting visits on Saturdays.  For more information or to request a visit, please contact our Congregational Care office at 615.373.3663, ext.254.

  • Pastoral Care - To schedule a pastoral care appointment with one of our pastors, please contact the Congregational Care office at 615-373-3663, ext.254.

  • Cancer Support - Our Partners in Hope - Companions in the Journey of Cancer team provides support to the people of Brentwood UMC and the community who have been diagnosed with cancer. These services are intended to ease the burden of everyday life while they focus on their treatment and health.  For assistance, please contact Jeanetta Fargo at 615.339.4415 ejaefargo@comcast.net.

  • Alive Hospice - Through Alive Hospice, those who have a limited life expectancy, regardless of their type of illness or age and live within the Alive Hospice service area, are able to access in-home, residential, and inpatient hospice services and grief support counseling and support.  For assistance, please contact Alive Hospice at 615.327.1085 or www.alivehospice.org.

  • Stephen Ministry - Stephen Ministers are members of our church who have received extensive training and provide confidential, one-to-one, Christian care to people who are dealing with health crises and other difficulties.
