FIELD NOTES
What struck me in our readings today, specifically in Acts, is something small, really a minute detail. Acts 15:36 says, “After some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Come, let us return and visit the believers in every city where we proclaimed the word of the Lord and see how they are doing.” Paul and Barnabas are intentionally visiting and checking in on their fellow Christians. They are forming and deepening relationships with their neighbors on purpose. It occurs to me that God is certainly in the work of doing unexpected, almost unbelievable miracles, but it is also in the small things like checking in on our neighbors or small group members over time that Christ’s love is taught and shared. Even in the small acts of love shared with a hurting friend or stranger, Christ’s miraculous work abounds.

QUESTIONS FOR THE FIELD

  • How have you experienced God’s smaller miracles in your life?
  • How are you allowing God to work through you in a miraculous way?

FAMILY FIELD TALK

  • How can you show God’s miraculous love to your family or classmates?

PRAYER GUIDE
Loving and gracious God, open my eyes to the many small miracles that you perform and bless me with each day. I am grateful for your provision and your presence. Make me into a tool for your good work so that others may know your love. Amen.
