DAILY READING

Hebrews 2:10-18
Psalm 32
This weekend’s reading: Luke 23:18-24

FIELD NOTES

From The Voice translation:

“Since we, the children, are all creatures of flesh and blood, Jesus took on flesh and blood, so that by dying He could destroy the one who held power over death—the devil— and destroy the fear of death that has always held people captive.”

The fear of death is always there, isn’t it?  And yet we see that Christ has destroyed the power of Death.

Yes, we still die, and yet in our death, we have faith that we are reunited with Christ who loves us.  May it be ever so.

QUESTIONS FOR THE FIELD

  • Besides death, what else scares me?

FAMILY FIELD TALK

  • What do you hope to talk to Jesus about when we meet him?

PRAYER GUIDE

Lord, drive out our fear.  Fear compels us to act in ways contrary to your heart and calling on our lives.  Let us live in a fearless state, for our faith is in You.  Amen.
