FIELD NOTES

Jesus was often misunderstood in his own time. Unfortunately, we sometimes still misunderstand who he is and what he came to do.

We misunderstand Jesus when we think he only came to save the good church going people like us.

We misunderstand Jesus when we think he only came to make people respectable.

We misunderstand Jesus when we assume he thinks just like we do.

We misunderstand Jesus when we think he came to bring only mercy or justice, but definitely not both.

We misunderstand Jesus when we think he came to let us keep living just like we are.

We misunderstand Jesus all the time, but with grace and patience, Jesus transforms our hearts and minds. Let us be open to understanding.
