  • Benevolence Request Form

    Direct benevolence assistance is provided to:

    • BUMC constituents (members and regular attendees) asking for themselves
    • BUMC constituents (members and regular attendees) asking for on behalf of another

    The form below is to be filled out by the BUMC constituent. It will then be sent to the Missions & Outreach team who will process the request.

    Please email them the form link directly rather than to this Requests page. If you are referencing the form for them to access over the phone or writing down the URL, share bumc.net/benevolence.

    There are also paper copies of the form at the front reception desk (Paula's desk).

    Talking points to remember:

    • "We do not give out any benevolence funds or resources directly on our campus. You are welcome to submit a Benevolence Request Form, and BUMC will receive and process your request. Our Pastor-on-Call is also available to provide you with support."

  • Communications Request Form

    The Communications Request Form is your one-stop shop to requesting work by the BUMC Communications Team. Once you submit this form, you will receive an email confirmation of your submission. This form will also be entered in the Communications Team project management system to allow for easier transition from idea to production.

    A member of the Communications Team will follow up with you after you've submitted your form to outline project timelines and needs.

    Curious how early you need to submit your requests?

    • Design/graphic creation – 4-6 weeks

    • Print production – 2 weeks (+1 week for print service, +1 week for mail service)

    • Bulletin/newsletter announcement – 1 week

    • Social media posts – 1 week

    • Website additions/updates – 1 week

    • New website page builds – 3-4 weeks

    • Video production – 8-10 weeks

    • Photography – 4-6 weeks

      • These requests are taken on a case-by-case basis at the availability of a Communications Team member or contractor. Fees for contractors hired by the Comm Team are covered by the Comm Team.

  • Fundraising Event Request Form

    The Fundraising Event Request Form is used for any financial solicitations that will be made to the BUMC congregation at large. The purpose of this form is to avoid conflicting and overwhelming financial solicitations made to the congregation throughout the year. These forms are presented to the lay-led Finance Committee, who oversee the financial health of the church and provide guidance to the Finance Team on how to best steward the gifts given by the congregation. Examples of solicitations exempt from this form are Sunday School class or small group collections; donations collected within Student Ministry (Joy Buckets) or BUMC Kids (Manger Sunday); or offerings collected in worship services.

    The Finance Committee meets the 3rd Thursday of each month. Fundraising requests should be sent no later than the Monday before the meeting. Approvals are granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Once this form has been submitted, it will be presented to Lead Team for approval. Once approved by Lead Team, it will be sent to the Finance Committee for approval. You will receive follow up about your submission after the Finance Committee meeting to let you know if your request was approved. If your request is denied in Lead Team, your department's Lead Team liaison will reach out to you with further explanation and guidance.
