Orphan, Foster + Adoption Ministry

OFAM seeks to empower and equip the BUMC congregation to care for orphans, foster children, and adoptive and foster families as a mean of discipleship. We strive to raise awareness about orphans and foster children locally and globally to share with our BUMC family.

Our annual Easter Basket packing tradition, led by our Orphan, Foster & Adoption Ministry, looks different this year. Support OFAM’s community partners, Monroe Harding, Miriam's Promise, Youth Villages,  and the Tennessee Baptist Children's Home, by shopping their wish lists and helping the organizations gather Easter basket supplies for the foster children in their care.

Our OFAM committee will continue working to support adoptive and foster families in our congregation as well as stay connected with agencies that assist vulnerable children in our community.

Monroe Harding has wishlists for children in foster care and the teenagers and young adults living in their supportive housing program.
Miriam's Promise has requested giftcards for their expectant mothers to Kroger, Walmart, or Publix in denominations of $10-$25.  Gift cards can be mailed to:
