BUMCSM
We believe that students (6th - 12th grade) need and deserve a place to feel like they belong. Our programming offers students opportunities for community, discipleship, and missional living to give them active and vital roles in the Kingdom of God.

Stay Connected
To The Table
Did you know BUMCSM has a podcast just for students? This podcast is an invitation for students (and parents and friends of all ages!) to pull up a seat and join the discussion on all things faith and culture. This podcast is hosted by our BUMCSM team working to bring Scripture (the Tablets) to the Table, preparing a feast that will nourish your soul.
BUMCSM Newsletter
Stay connected and in-the-know with all the BUMCSM is doing! Our newsletter offers church news, program updates, and resources for students and parents.
Sunday Mornings
Sunday Mornings are a time of worshiping with your family and spending time in the word. BUMCSM wants to invite students to print off the calendar and put it in a place where we can continue to strengthen our relationship with God. Use the calendar for daily growth and the lessons on Sundays to dig a little deeper. We hope that this is a portion of what you as a family do on Sundays and we cannot wait to be in person with our students as soon as we safely can be.
Sunday Nights
Youth worship and small groups are an opportunity for all students to gather in a community of worship, support, and belonging. We take time in our worship to connect with God and each other. We strive to form a sense of belonging in our small groups while cultivating accountability and discipleship. Our small groups consist of students of the same grade led by two adult volunteers.

6th Grade Confirmation
Confirmation is an opportunity for 6th grade students to claim their faith as their own. During a semester-long class, students will learn the basics of faith and theology as well as United Methodist and Christian history. This class concludes with the opportunity for each student to confirm their faith and join the church as well as an opportunity to be baptized. Confirmation has a combination of large group teaching by one of our clergy or youth ministers, as well as small groups. Confirmation, while a large milestone in one’s faith journey, is not a finish line. Rather it’s one part of the journey we hope to continue with each student throughout their time in BUMCSM.
