Remember What You Know

July 20, 2017

Daily Reading
Hebrews 2:1-9
Psalm 139:1-12
This week’s sermon text: Matthew 11:28-30

Field Notes
Again this week, we are reminded to remember what we already know in Christ. So many times, God has sent His truth to us through so many different messengers.

Are we listening? Are we paying attention to the world around us and what it wants us to do?

We do not want to miss out on what God is doing in and through the Holy Spirit. We know God has things under control. Why do we doubt it?

So remember what you know to be true. Live in that truth and grace.

Questions for the Field

  • What truth am I not living into?
  • What of the world is fighting for my attention?

Family Field Talk

  • How do you know what is right and what is wrong?
  • How do you make good choices?

Prayer Guide
Lord, in Your mercy forgive us when we succumb to our own weaknesses. Give us the strength daily to fight against our own sinful nature. May we walk in hope and not fear; light and not darkness. And may we trust that God leads us only to hope. Amen.
