FIELD NOTES
(Written by a volunteer on the 2016 Sonshine Choir Tour.)
This was the first time I had helped chaperone a choir tour. I was pleasantly surprised to learn on the tour that students wrote daily devotionals for us to read and reflect on while traveling by bus to the places where they would sing and minister. I was blown away by the depth, honesty, and eloquence of those devotionals, which really did inspire me and opened my eyes to God’s work in so many aspects of choir tour, even the bus rides! We have some amazing youth in BUMC, and we would be wise and blessed to hear more from them in more “intergenerational” settings!
