Living Examples

April 30, 2020

DAILY READING

1 Peter 2:9-12

FIELD NOTES

Often times, one of the best ways we love our neighbors, or coworkers, and especially our family, is by the example we set.  As parents, we try to set a loving example for our children.  As an employee, we try to set an example of someone who works hard and goes above and beyond to get the job done with excellence.

We love by setting good examples for those around us.  What damage can we do with bad examples?

QUESTIONS FOR THE FIELD

  • What steps do you take to personally set good examples for those around you?

FAMILY FIELD TALK

  • What does being a “good example” mean?

PRAYER GUIDE

Lord, may our lives lead people to you in love, through our words and deeds.  Amen.

FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT CHALLENGE

Over the next nine weeks, we are offering daily prompts for applying the wisdom from the scriptures to our everyday lives. Each week focuses on how we can encourage those around us and bear fruit! This week we are focusing on the fruit of love.

“And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”
